Hi there,
Welcome to our Weekend Special Edition, where we get to do one of our favorite things – share the absolute best with you. Of all the articles we featured in Tipsbulletin Newsletter last week, these three stood out as the ones that will truly make a difference in your life. Let's get to it.

In this recap:

  • How to Shrink Clothes That Are Too Big

  • The Best Ways to Clean Laminate Wood Flooring

  • Keeping Fresh Garlic Flavorful for Months

  • Top Tip: No More Freezer Coffee

HOUSEHOLD

We've all pulled a favorite sweater from the dryer only to find it could fit a toddler—but shrinking clothes on purpose is an entirely different skill. Learn ten tricks that work on everything from cotton tees to denim, so that too-big thrift find or stretched-out dress can finally fit the way it should.

Why Overseas Producers Can't Undercut Atlas Salt, Even for Free

Cities are already running short on road salt, and winter hasn't even started. Some supply bids are going unanswered, prices have nearly doubled in parts of the market, and the backup plan is two weeks away by boat. Here's why Atlas Salt (TSXV: SALT | OTCQX: SALQF) can get salt to the people who need it most, faster and cheaper than anyone shipping from overseas:

• Three days by ship to Boston, not fourteen

• Shallow deposit that's cheaper and faster to mine

• Projected C$188M a year in free cash flow

• Export Development Canada interested in lending C$150M

• Early supply deal with top U.S. salt distributor

CLEANING

We used to think laminate floors needed special potions and complicated routines until we discovered that a simple microfiber mop and warm water outperform most expensive cleaners . These four methods protect that beautiful wood-look finish while saving time and money every week.

FOOD STORAGE

We've all watched a beautiful bulb of garlic sprout green shoots or turn soft before we could use it all—but garlic can stay fresh for months when stored the right way. These five simple preservation methods will help keep that pungent, flavor-packed ingredient ready whenever a recipe calls for it.

TIP OF THE WEEK

Just Say No to the Freezer

Store whole beans in an airtight container at room temperature, away from light, heat, and moisture. Choose a ceramic or opaque glass jar with a tight seal and keep it in a cool pantry or cupboard, not on the counter near the stove or window.

Buy only what you'll use within two weeks to preserve the oils that give coffee its flavor. Freezing can trap moisture and create ice crystals that damage the beans and dull the taste.
