Shower Curtain Liner Science Experiment
Toss the liner into the washing machine with two bath towels and a half-cup of baking soda on the warm cycle. The towels scrub away soap scum and mildew while the baking soda deodorizes. Add a half-cup of white vinegar and a few drops of tea tree oil during the rinse cycle to break down any remaining residue.
Hang the liner back up immediately while it's still damp so it dries wrinkle-free. This method works because the towels provide gentle friction without tearing the plastic, and the vinegar prevents new mold from taking hold.
