IN PARTNERSHIP WITH HUBSPOT
The GTM bets that shouldn't have worked, and did
One grew revenue 50x after half his team quit over the strategy. One brought in 50K signups in a single day with no paid budget. One generated 100M+ views from a stunt that took 50 hours to conceive. One asked every prospect to demo the product themselves instead of demoing it for them.
None of them followed the safe playbook. They treated GTM like an experiment, moved before they had proof, and made bets most founders would never get approved.
HubSpot for Startups documented all 6 stories in the free Bold Bets Playbook. The risks they took, why it was risky, and what it returned.
CLEANING
A power washer can strip wood fibers, force water under deck boards, and send splintered debris flying—which is why many deck builders skip them entirely. Learn about six gentler methods that protect the wood while cutting through dirt, mildew, and grime just as effectively.
MABEL’S WISDOM

Wax Woes No More
Back in the good old days, Grandma had a simple trick for removing candle wax from fabric. First, let the wax harden completely; you can even pop the fabric in the freezer for a bit to speed things up. Once the wax is brittle, gently scrape off as much as you can with a dull knife.
Next, place the fabric between two pieces of brown paper or paper towels. Press a warm iron over the paper, and watch as the remaining wax transfers from the fabric to the paper.
Grandma always said, "A little patience and a warm iron can work wonders!"
WILDLIFE CONTROL
Rabbits can devour an entire vegetable garden in a single night , turning months of careful work into a salad bar for uninvited guests. This collection of ten practical tips offers verified ways to protect plants from bunnies without harsh chemicals or expensive fencing.
FUN FACT
Portable DVD Players Almost Sank Before They Could Swim
When Panasonic launched the first portable DVD player in 1998, blank recordable DVDs cost around $50 each, and the player itself cost nearly $600. That's roughly $1,100 in today's money for a device that couldn't record and played discs most people couldn't afford. The timing seemed disastrous, yet within three years, prices dropped so fast that portable DVD players became a must-have gadget. | ![]() |
