PLANTS & GARDEN

Ever notice how a little bit of greenery can transform a room into a sanctuary ? We once turned a dim corner into a lush oasis, proving that even the darkest nooks can thrive with the right indoor plants.

CLEANING

We've all been there, staring at those stubborn water spots in the shower, wondering if there's a secret trick to make it sparkle again. With a bit of creativity, like using a lemon for that fresh scent and shine, keeping a fiberglass shower clean can be easier than you thought!

MABEL’S WISDOM

Freshen Up Musty Fabrics the Old-Fashioned Way

Back in my day, we didn't have fancy sprays to get rid of musty-smelling fabrics. Instead, we relied on simple do-it-yourself methods. Here's a little trick from when I was growing up:

  • 1 part white vinegar

  • 3 parts water

  • Baking soda

First, soak the fabric in vinegar and water for about 30 minutes. Then, sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda over the fabric and let it sit for another 30 minutes before washing as usual. You'll be amazed at how fresh your fabrics will smell!

HOUSEHOLD TIPS

Ever had that moment when those fabulous new tennis shoes just won't budge? Tight shoes are no fun, but we've uncovered some clever tricks to make them fit like a dream.

FOOD STORAGE

Vibrant beets can bring a splash of color to any meal, but keeping beets fresh can be a bit of a mystery. Remember finding that forgotten bunch in the back of the fridge? Let's explore some clever tricks to keep them crisp and delicious longer.

FUN FACT

Rollin' with the Times!

Picture this: folks used everything from leaves to newspapers before the toilet paper roll. Seth Wheeler's genius idea of perforated sheets on a roll was a game-changer in 1891!

It made life a whole lot easier and, let's be honest, a lot more hygienic. Talk about a roll of innovation!
