A Hearth as Good as New!
Back in my day, we didn't have fancy cleaners for the fireplace, but we knew how to keep it spotless! First, gather some old newspapers and dampen them slightly. Use these to wipe down the soot-covered bricks; the damp paper will pick up the grime without making a mess.
For stubborn spots, mix a paste of equal parts vinegar and salt. Scrub the paste onto the bricks with a stiff brush, and you'll see those stains disappear like magic.
Remember, a clean fireplace looks lovely and works more efficiently. A little elbow grease goes a long way!
