CLEANING

We all know the magic of a sparkling clean shower, but did you know you can whip up effective cleaners right in your kitchen? Once, a friend tried one of these homemade concoctions and swore it worked better than store-bought solutions!

MABEL’S WISDOM

Banish Pet Odors the Old-Fashioned Way

Back in my day, we didn't have fancy sprays to get rid of pet smells; we relied on good old-fashioned remedies. To freshen up your home, sprinkle baking soda generously over the smelly area and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Then, vacuum it up, and you'll notice the odors have vanished.

Mix equal parts white vinegar and water in a spray bottle for a more stubborn smell, and lightly mist the area. Let it dry completely; the vinegar will neutralize the odor without leaving harsh chemical residue.

Remember, sometimes the simplest solutions are the best!

FOOD STORAGE

We've all been there—standing in the kitchen, potato in hand, wondering if it's still good to eat. Did you know that a sprouting potato can still be used if you remove the sprouts? Let's dive into the signs that tell us when it's time to toss those spuds.
