MABEL’S WISDOM

Sparkling Faucets the Old-Fashioned Way
Back in my day, we didn't have fancy cleaners to tackle soap scum on faucets. We relied on simple, trusty ingredients that everyone had in their kitchen. To make your faucets shine like new, mix up a little paste with:
Baking soda
White vinegar
Apply the paste to the scummy areas, let it sit for a few minutes, and then scrub gently with an old toothbrush. Rinse with warm water, and you'll see those faucets gleam just like in the good old times. Grandma always knew best!
CLEANING
We've all faced that pesky patch of mold on the ceiling, wondering how it got there in the first place. Did you know you can banish it for good with a few simple tricks and keep your home fresh and inviting?
FUN FACT
Flare Guns: The Original SOS Emoji!
Before smartphones and emojis, the flare gun was the ultimate SOS signal. Picture this: you're in a pickle, and instead of sending a text, you shoot a flare into the sky! It's the original "help me" message, loud and clear. Edward Wilson Very's creation in 1877 has been a universal language of distress, speaking volumes without saying a word. | ![]() |
FOOD STORAGE
We've all been there—squeezing a lemon and wondering how to keep that zesty goodness fresh for later. Did you know that a bit of lemon juice can add a burst of flavor to almost any dish?
