MABEL’S WISDOM

Brighten Pillows the Old-Fashioned Way

Back in my day, we didn't have fancy detergents to keep our pillows white and fresh. Here's a simple recipe I used to follow:

  • 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide

  • 1/2 cup of baking soda

  • Warm water

First, mix the hydrogen peroxide and baking soda in a large container of warm water. Soak your pillows in this solution for a few hours, then rinse thoroughly, squeeze out as much liquid as you can, and let them dry in the sun.

Trust me, this old-time remedy will have your pillows looking as good as new, just like in the good old days!

BUG CONTROL

We all know that moment when a peaceful afternoon on the porch turns into a wasp-dodging dance, right? Discover 11 genius tricks to keep those buzzing intruders at bay and confidently reclaim your outdoor space.

TIP OF THE DAY

Can a Citrus Peel Save Your Nose?

Absolutely! After enjoying your morning orange or lemon, don't toss those peels. Drop them into the disposal and let it run. The natural oils in the peels help break down grime and leave behind a refreshing aroma.

It's a simple, eco-friendly way to keep things smelling delightful. Your senses will be dancing with joy!

PLANTS & GARDEN

Imagine stepping into a garden where the gentle sway of perennial grasses whispers stories of resilience and beauty. We once heard about a gardener who claimed these vibrant grasses transformed her backyard into a serene oasis, proving that nature's elegance is just a planting away.
